
More than 60 films from over 30 Asian countries and regions will be screened at the Asian Film Exhibition 2019 during the Asian Film and TV Week to be held in mid-May in Beijing.
The Film and TV Week, a major activity from the the Conference for Dialogue among Asian Civilizations, aims to spread Asian film, enhance exchanges and cooperation between Asian countries, and present an open, inclusive, diverse and united Asia to the world.
The exhibition will start simultaneously in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Xi'an on May 16, and will run until May 23. The organizer plans to play selected films over 200 times at 14 different cinemas.
A dialogue with film masters will also be held in Beijing, attracting 14 famous filmmakers and scholars from all over Asia, including Japanese director Yoji Yamada, Iranian director Majid Majidi and Indian actor Aamir Khan.
