In memory of the 10th anniversary, a celebration was held on May 5 in Shanghai by BesTV of Shanghai Media Group and NBA China.
Ten years ago, NBA live signal became accessible to BesTV and was transmitted through China Telecom broadband into millions of households.
"NBA looks forward to further cooperating with BesTV to promote NBA games and basketball in China and bringing fans more exciting matches and programs," said Derek Chang, CEO of NBA China.
Statistics show that since 2009, BesTV has broadcasted more than 12,000 live NBA games, helping increase the number of BesTV users from 10 million to 48.63 million.
NBA stars Corey Brewer and Mike Miller also attended the celebration and reviewed their careers in NBA.
As part of the celebration, an exhibition themed with the anniversary was opened to public on May 6 at Tomorrow Square in Shanghai, in which the Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy is on display. The exhibition will last for one month.
