BEIJING, June 3 (Xinhua) -- The International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 Beijing has received over 1.81 million visits since opening on April 29, according to the expo's organizer on Monday.
The expo's four major venues have seen nearly 4.48 million visits, among which the China Pavilion has received about 1.36 million visits, said Ye Dahua, deputy directer of the expo's coordination bureau.
Ye said that the expo has also held 675 activities that have attracted a total of 910,000 visits.
The China Pavilion Day will be held in the expo on June 6, said Yu Jianlong, commissioner general of the China Pavilion. About 950 participants from home and abroad will be invited to watch theatrical performances and visit a flower show in the pavilion, Yu said.
The China Pavilion, located in the 503-hectare expo site at the foot of a section of the Great Wall, has become one of the most popular tourist destinations since the expo opened with average daily visits of 41,000.
Themed "Live Green, Live Better," the expo is open until Oct. 7 and features a vast collection of flowers, fruit trees, Chinese herbal medicines and plant landscaping techniques, as well as ideas for green development.
