
Monday marks the 22nd anniversary of Hong Kong returning to China. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government held a flag raising ceremony to celebrate the occasion. Vice-chairpersons of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Tung Chee-hwa and Leung Chun-ying, HKSAR Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Wang Zhimin, as well as representatives from the Central Government agencies based in Hong Kong, HKSAR government officials and foreign envoys attended the ceremony.
