
TIANJIN, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Authorities from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region provided more than 300 internships and job opportunities to Taiwan compatriots at a job fair held Friday in northern China's Tianjin Municipality.
The job fair attracted more than 50 Taiwan job hunters and 19 companies, including Tianjin (Binhai) Offshore Entrepreneurial Base for Overseas Professionals, Career International and Unicloud.com.
Yu Jiaqing, director of Tianjin Human Resources Development Service Center of China, said these internships and job opportunities involved fields including technology, finance, marketing and management.
Tianjin Human Resources Development Service Center of China was designated as a base of internship and employment for Taiwan compatriots and a liaison office for cross-Strait public affairs at the job fair, according to Tianjin's Taiwan Affairs Office.
Yu Weizhong, deputy director of Tianjin's Taiwan Affairs Office, said more than 100 Taiwan students studied in more than ten Tianjin universities and more than 20 Taiwan compatriots worked as teachers in six universities in Tianjin in 2018.
The job fair for Taiwan compatriots was one of the most important parts of an ongoing Tianjin-Taiwan trade fair.
