
BEIJING, Sept. 20 -- More than 10,000 students with disabilities were admitted to universities and colleges in China in 2018, according to the China Disabled Persons' Federation.
Around 62,700 students with disabilities have been enrolled at regular institutions of higher education from 2012 to 2018, and in 2018 alone, the figure reached 11,154, the federation said.
As of June 2018, a total of 61 universities have set up majors of special education, admitting more than 10,000 students, it said.
