BEIJING, Sept. 24 -- China's publishing industry has launched a collection of quality publications to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The selected publications showcase the achievements and experiences China has made in the past 70 years, and reflect the transformations and progress the country has achieved since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2012.
They also tell stories of the CPC, New China, socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and ordinary people and families with facts, figures and models.
The publications consist of books, video and audio products, academic works, novels and reading materials for teenagers.
Topics of the books range from the general history and development of New China, its scientific and technological progress and foreigners' perspectives of China.
Book retailers around the country have also organized promotions for the publications.
