
BEIJING, Sept. 25 -- The 4K resolution version of "The Birth of New China," a 1989 film featuring stories of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC), will hit Chinese mainland big screens on Oct. 18.
The new version is one of several films to be screened to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC. "Me and My Motherland," the much-anticipated film drawing on historical moments since 1949, will be screened at theaters on Sept. 30.
The 1989 movie has a current score of 7.2 out of 10 points on Chinese film rating site Douban.
