
BEIJING, Oct. 14 -- Huang Kunming, a senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official, met with a high-level delegation of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) led by Diosdado Cabello, vice president of the ruling party of Venezuela, here on Monday.
Huang, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, said this year marks the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Venezuela.
China promoted the development of its ties with Venezuela with a strategic and long-term vision, Huang said, adding that the CPC is willing to enhance communication with the PSUV, jointly implement the major consensus reached by the two countries' leaders, and strive for in-depth development of the China-Venezuela comprehensive strategic partnership to better benefit the two peoples.
Cabello congratulated the People's Republic of China on the 70th founding anniversary, and expressed the hope that the bilateral ties will achieve greater progress.
