The second short-term media workshop for the Belt and Road News Network (BRNN) concluded in Beijing on Nov. 2. Thirty-nine senior editors and journalists from Arabic and Russian-speaking countries attended the closing ceremony.
Fifteen trainees delivered speeches at the ceremony, sharing their experiences of the lectures, media tours, as well as field investigations to Gansu, Sichuan, Shandong and Jiangsu.
They said that the workshop presented them with a more colorful, friendly, confident and open China, from which they had a better understanding of the historical and realistic significance of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

They expressed their hope to enhance communication and cooperation under the framework of BRNN, to deliver better stories of mutual benefit and win-win results.
Fang Jiangshan, deputy editor-in-chief of People's Daily, attended the ceremony and issued certificates of completion to the trainees. Chen Wenshen, secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) committee in the Communication University of China, and Hu Guo, director of the External Relations Department of People's Daily, delivered speeches at the ceremony.

The workshop was hosted by China's State Council Information Office, and jointly organized by the Secretariat of BRNN (the External Relations Department of People's Daily) and Communication University of China. The first workshop was held from Sept. 16 to 29.
