Atos Origin, a digital company from France, launched an Internet of things (IoT) self-service coffee machine at this year's China International Import Expo (CIIE). The coffee machine is no longer just a press-and-go machine, as when users make a return trip, the coffee machine recommends drinks dependent on past coffee preferences through facial recognition technology and big data.
New recommendations are also suggested according to the user's likes and dislikes. After confirming the order, customers can choose to pay by face scanning, which is fast and convenient.
In addition, the intelligent coffee machine can also monitor information such as the temperature of the cooling system in real-time, to facilitate the coordination of manufacturers or maintainers to arrange preventive or predictive detection and maintenance, to ensure maximum availability of coffee machines.
What's more, the consumption status of coffee beans, milk and water can also be monitored, which is convenient for operators to arrange timely replenishment of more than one coffee machine in any number of office buildings.
Through the data analysis of consumption patterns, suppliers can determine the quantity and trend of supply in different regions and at different times, to better manage the supply chain.
