SHANGHAI, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Huawei on Monday launched an upgraded tablet computer, the MatePad Pro, in Shanghai as it ramps up efforts for a bigger market share.
The new tablet will be available on the Chinese mainland next month. Earlier Huawei tablets were introduced under the MediaPad series.
MatePad Pro offers innovative multi-screen collaboration with mobile phones to provide interactive office and intelligent scene solutions.
At the global launch ceremony, Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei's consumer business, said Huawei has recently achieved high-quality growth in its terminals sales. Huawei shipped 7 million Mate 30 series phones worldwide within 60 days after they hit the market.
Huawei had the largest market share of tablet computers on the Chinese mainland in the third quarter of 2019, with a shipment of 2.12 million units and a market share of 37.4 percent, according to market research firm IDC.
