BEIJING, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- A series of activities and events will be held during the weeklong Constitution publicity campaign, running from Dec. 1 to 7, a senior justice official said Tuesday.
"We want to make the Constitution part of people's everyday lives," Justice Minister Fu Zhenghua said at a press conference when introducing the activities and events hosted during the "Constitution Week".
The weeklong publicity campaign is focused on promoting the spirit of the Constitution and advancing the modernization of China's system and capacity for governance.
During the week, several judiciary departments will hold "open days" for the public to visit and several animations and videos about the rule of law will be aired nationwide, said Fu.
Short messages introducing the Constitution will be sent to over 1 billion mobile phone users and publicity films will be broadcast at over 2,300 railway stations and on 2,500 high-speed trains across the country.
Wednesday marks China's sixth Constitution Day.
The campaign is jointly held by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the Ministry of Justice, and a national office overseeing legal education work.
