The number of parcel deliveries in China is expected to exceed 60 billion in 2019, contributing more than 50 percent to the growth of the world postal industry, according to the State Post Bureau.
The postal delivery industry has supported more than 350 billion yuan in cross-border e-commerce transactions in 2019, the State Post Bureau indicated.
In recent years, along with the shrinking of traditional letter sending, postal operators in many countries have implemented diversified transformation with parcels as the core, and pushed forward the express delivery business to the international market, achieving remarkable results.
With the characteristics of extensive network coverage, low price and high speed, China's postal delivery industry has become the primary logistics mode of cross-border e-commerce, and has played an irreplaceable role in promoting the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce.
