
BEIJING, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Yang Jiechi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, will pay an official visit to the Republic of Uganda, the Republic of Congo and the Republic of Senegal from Dec. 17 to 22, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang announced Monday in Beijing.
During his visit, Yang, also director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, will exchange views with officials of the three countries on promoting friendly bilateral relations, accelerating the implementation of the outcomes of the Beijing summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and tackling international and regional issues of common concern, Geng added.
Yang will make the visits at the invitation of the three countries' governments, Geng said.
