BEIJING, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- The Communist Party of China (CPC) has decided to honor 450 model retired officials and 150 organizations engaged in related work, according to a decision released on Monday by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee.
All retired officials and such organizations are called on to learn from the models, while those receiving the honor are asked to cherish the glory and continue their contributions to accomplishing the Party's historic mission in the new era.
The full lists of the model organizations and individuals were also made public along with the decision.
Among the honored organizations are primary-level Party branches, colleges of the aged and volunteer groups.
The individuals are selected from various provincial regions, Party and state organs, public institutions, as well as state-owned enterprises.
