
BEIJING, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- The China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra will hold a concert of Chinese folk music on Tuesday (Jan. 7) at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in celebration of the Spring Festival, or the Chinese Lunar New Year.
Conducted by Liu Ju, a national level Grade-A conductor, the music ensemble will play Chinese orchestral music such as "Spring Breeze," "An Ode to the Sun," "The Moon Rises" and "Chasing Dreams."
A bamboo flute concerto performing "Blossom in the Field" and a banhu concerto playing "Random Playing" will also be included in the program list.
Founded in 1949, the orchestra has performed rich and diversified art shows over the past seven decades and achieved notable popularity at home and abroad.
Tickets for the performance are now available on the official website of the NCPA (www.chncpa.org).
