BEIJING, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- The General Office of the State Council has unveiled a guideline on comprehensively promoting the standardization of transparency in grassroots government affairs.
The guideline made clear that by 2023, a national standards system for the openness of grassroots government affairs, which covers the entire operation of local governments, will be basically established.
It also called for further improvement of the working mechanism, platforms and professional teams for making grassroots government affairs open.
The guideline put forward eight main tasks, such as strengthening the standardized construction of platforms for the openness of grassroots government affairs and improving the mechanism of public participation in administrative decision-making at the grassroots level.
