SKOPJE, Jan. 30 -- A six-episode documentary series named "Hand in Hand on Silk Road" premiered here late on Wednesday.
The documentary was co-produced by Macedonian Radio and Television (MRT) and the Chinese Embassy in North Macedonia.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to North Macedonia Zhang Zuo said it is the first time that the exchanges, cooperation and traditional friendship between China and North Macedonia are presented to the two peoples in the form of a documentary.
Noting that China is North Macedonia's largest trading partner outside Europe, Zhang said the two countries will further strengthen practical cooperation in various fields and jointly promote the upgrading of cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries (CEECs) within the China-CEEC framework.
Dime Ratajkoski, editor-in-chief of the documentary, said he has been to China many times and was greatly suprised by China's long-established civilization, magnificent scenery and fast-growing economy.
The launch of the documentary aims to give the audience an in-depth understanding of the friendship and practical cooperation between the two countries, which is of great significance to enhancing mutual understanding between the two peoples, he said.
The documentary series, featuring education, culture and art, friendly cities and tourism, food and Chinese medicine, as well as economic and trade cooperation, will be broadcasted on MRT for one month.
