
WUHAN, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Hubei Province, center of the novel coronavirus outbreak, reported 1,693 new confirmed cases and 132 new deaths Tuesday, according to the provincial health commission Wednesday.
The latest report brought the total confirmed cases in the hard-hit province to 61,682. Wuhan, the provincial capital, recorded a total of 44,412 confirmed cases.
The province also saw 1,266 patients discharged from hospital after recovery on Tuesday, bringing the total number of discharged patients in the province to 9,128.
Among the 43,471 hospitalized patients, 9,289 were still in severe condition and another 1,957 in critical condition.
