
More than 1,000 guests gathered to discuss the construction and promotion of a high-quality development pilot zone for the manufacturing industry in the Lishui District of Nanjing, east China’s Jiangsu province, on March 24.
Government officials and representatives from universities, research institutes and enterprises attended the meeting held in the Jiangsu Baima Agricultural International Expo Center, located in the Nanjing Agricultural High-Tech Industrial Demonstration Zone.

This is the first conference to have been attended by over 1,000 participants in the history of Lishui’s manufacturing industry, said Xue Fengguan, secretary of the Communist Party of China Lishui District Committee, adding that it has set a good example for the district to hold conferences geared toward both domestic and international companies.
Lishui is determined to become a leading force in the development of a high-quality manufacturing industry and is willing to join hands with global manufacturers to get through the COVID-19 epidemic, the secretary noted.
