Third-party Chinese input apps can be used on iPhones carring iOS 8. [File photo]
2. Other SPs' Chinese input programs allowed
iOS 8 relaxed its limits, so it is now open to third parties' Chinese input programs. Many Chinese users can download Chinese input programs from Sogou and Baidu to the iPhone, so that users can work with the input programs they are used to.
Personally, I am used to iOS's default input. Sogou's input program has no attraction for me, especially since Sogou's mobile input program doesn't add users' custom vocabulary to its synchronizing function, which is what I pay most attention to when I use Sogou input on my PC.
Due to the end of input restrictions, third parties input service providers are pouring in and trying hard to seize a share of this market.
But third party input programs also have some risks. When you switch on "Allow Full Access," theoretically, the service providers can acquire all the contents you input.
