BEIJING, Dec. 8 -- China will continue to innovate in management styles of projects in other countries, an official with the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said Monday.
Zhang Xiangchen, assistant minister of commerce, said China will provide cooperation opportunities for countries capable of carrying out certain projects by themselves.
He said in the past China always took full charge of its foreign aid projects throughout the process, including design, construction, management and supervision.
"Global and domestic experience helped us create a new model that integrates management and contract, which will be promoted after pilot projects," he said.
Zhang also stressed life-long accountability and in-depth assessment for each project will be implemented as an important part of new management styles.
"Assessment was weak in our foreign aid projects, and we need to improve this crucial part," said Yu Zirong, vice director of MOC's foreign assistance department.
