Wu Xuhui, from Linghai, Liaoning province, joined the army in 1998. He was a level-four sergeant of a tank battalion in Xinjiang military region. In 2012, he won the gold medal in a tank-driving contest with a new record. During his 16 years in the army, he rendered meritorious service with his excellent performance.
