WUHAN, Jan. 21 -- Egyptian airline Air Leisure has organized a weekly charter flight between central China's Wuhan and Egyptian capital Cairo for Chinese tour groups around the peak Lunar New Year travel season.
Using Airbus A340 aircraft, there will be a flight every Saturday until the end of April, Hubei Airports Group said on Thursday.
There will be five flights during China's week-long public holiday in February.
Flying direct will take nine hours, where as the standard service transiting in Guangzhou or Dubai takes 19 hours.
Hubei Wanda Xinhangxian International Travel Agency said the flight has allowed it to cut the price of an eight-day trip to Cairo from 12,000 yuan (1,829 U.S. dollars) to 8,000 yuan.
