A unique tree house was unveiled in the grove besides the Architecture and Urban Planning School of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei province on June 3, 2014. The canopy of trees is the roof, and the wall is made of nylon rope. Between the gaps of the trunks, a dozen of wooden platform were set up, constituting several rooms. With the highest room 8 meters above the ground, the "built-up" area of the tree house is over 60 square meters. The design came from children's imagination. The construction took three months and over 40 kilometers of nylon rope and over 1,000 meters of steel wire were used. The tree house can bear the weight of 40 children. The trees are jacketed before the steel wires were bound. (Chinanews/Zhang Chang)
