Liu Yanbing is a student of Grade 12, Yichun Third Middle School. On May 31, a man held a kitchen knife to attack passengers on the bus that he took from Yichun City to Jinrui Town and five people were injured. He risked his life to fight with that man and grabbed the knife to prevent more injuries at the very moment, but his head and shoulders were cut by that man.

The Ministry of Education has decided to organize another exam for Liu Yanbing alone and the Yichun government conferred a title of honor on the brave young man on June 7.

Netizens have applauded his exemplary deed and appealed to colleges for exceptional admission. As so far, Nanchang University and Yichun University offered their olive branches.
