The first private flying club in Tianjin opened on July 12, 2014. It is located in the Douzhuang Airport in the New Binhai Area, and owns more than 20 planes and helicopters.
The flying club provides visitors with lessons of flying skills taught by professional pilots, a short cruise over New Binhai Area for sightseeing, as well as a close look at all helicopters and planes.
Visitors are welcomed to spend a night at pilot accommodation community and dine in a pilot-themed restaurant. Flying experience packages at different levels cost from 500 yuan to 12,000 yuan.
Club manager Dou Ruchao thought that the market potential is great as more and more people in China can afford to rent a plane or even own a plane to experience flying.
