Qingdao is still experiencing the superhot summer though some regions in the country have entered fall. People who work inside an office can use air conditioners to control the temperature; however, for those who work at Qingdao Port, the temperature of their working environment is uncontrollable. Some of those workers unload frozen fish in a minus 25 degrees Celsius (minus 13 degrees Fahrenheit) freezer, some have to load bean pulps in a 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit) truck. It is like the North Pole comparing with the Gobi desert. The temperature difference between these two places reaches 85 degrees Celsius (185 degrees Fahrenheit). Workers stick to their jobs even under such extreme working conditions. It was a song of "ice and fire" composed by these extraordinary workers.
