BEIJING, Aug. 15 -- The former Party chief of Anyang city in central China's Henan Province has been prosecuted for allegedly taking bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said on Friday.
The people's procuratorate of Zhumadian City, Henan Province, filed the charges against Zhang Xiaodong, who served as secretary of the Anyang municipal committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) from April 2012 to April 2013, with Zhumadian Intermediate People's Court.
Born in 1963, Zhang is a native of Yucheng County, Henan Province. In April 2013, he was placed under investigation for suspected serious disciplinary violations by the Henan discipline commission of the CPC.
