Medeu Askhatuly looks into a mirror with his new cap that he bought online at home during Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games on Aug. 17, 2014. 21-year-old Medeu Askhatuly from Kazahkstan works as a volunteer of language service for cycling event during the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games. He is a senior student majoring in International Economics and Trade in Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology and is fluent in Kazakh, Russian, English and Chinese. He came to China with his father when he was a child and became fascinated by Chinese culture. Askhatuly came to Nanjing to learn Chinese out of great interest in 2011 and entered university in 2012. With his talent in language, he could speak fluent Chinese after only 3 years of learning. He loves everything in Nanjing and enjoys his work as a YOG volunteer.
