A model contest was opened in Yaha Town of Kuqa county, Xinjiang on Aug. 20, 2014. All the "models" were local Uyghur farmers and herdsmen. There were 12 teams with 168 people participating in the contest. The "Models" displayed Uyghur traditional clothing culture and their own glamorous demeanor.
