The daughter of luxury goods giant Bernard Arnault, Delphine Arnault, is one of the richest women in the world. On Sept. 24, 2005, she married 37 year-old Alessandro Vallarino Gancia, heir to an Italian wine fortune, in the Roman Catholic Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Bazas in Gironde, classified by Unesco as a world heritage building. The guests included personalities from the worlds of business, politics and fashion. John Galliano from Dior designed the dress and Bernadette Chirac, former French first lady also attended. The wedding was the main event in 2005 for the French upper class. The couple divorced in 2010.
