Li Na is a beautiful girl who is only 19 years old. But she has a malignant tumor which is now terminal. She has been through terrible suffering - 7 years ago her leg was amputated at the thigh because of osteosarcoma, and two years ago her mother died of illness. Though the doctors suggested amputation, Li's family opted for more conservative treatment. "We wanted to keep her leg," Li's grandmother explained. The family borrowed 100,000 RMB for the surgery. However, within six months Li Na's leg was giving her problems again, and doctors said that she would not survive without a thigh amputation.
