HONG KONG, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong's Secretary for Food and Health Ko Wing-man will depart for Beijing on Thursday to attend the 3rd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Ministerial Meeting on Food Security, the city's government news website said here Wednesday.
On Friday, Ko will attend the opening session of the APEC Ministerial Meeting on Food Security, which will have "Strengthen Regional Cooperation, Promote Food Security" as its main theme.
He will deliver a keynote speech on food safety measures implemented in Hong Kong at the ministers' plenary session of the meeting.
Ko will return to Hong Kong on Friday afternoon.
