Chen Zhou, the man called 'amputee warrior of China', succeeded in reaching the top of Jianmenguan using hands in four hours recently.
Jianmenguan is in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The route he took is the narrowest and the most dangerous section in the mountain. It is 2,080 meters long, with 90 slopes and an elevation drop of nearly 400 meters.
Chen Zhou, born in east China's Shandong Province, is an inspirational speaker and singer. His parents divorced when he was six. He began a wanderer's life at the age of eight. Unfortunately he fell down a train and lost his legs when he was 13 years old.
He has reached the top of many mountains in China, such as Mount Tai, Mount Jiuhua, Mount Wutai etc. He became the first person that has scaled five great mountains of China in the world in 2012. Thus he was called "Nick Vujicic of China".
