Bai Aiqin, 58, finally came back home. She still feels like a dream. After more 50 years' separation and travelling more than 1,000 kilometers, she returned to Yixing, east China's Jiangsu Province, from Anyang, central China's Henan province, where she lived for more than 50 years.
In 1950s, due to the poor family conditions and the natural disaster, Bai's mother had to send Bai to another family when Bai was only three. Since then, she had never returned home. After Bai's leaving, her younger sister died of hunger and illness.
In May 2014, always dreaming to go back home, Bai registered her DNA on a platform on internet. Unexpectedly, her 96-year-old mother was found soon through DNA comparison.
On Oct. 14, Bai and her husband left Anyang for Yixing. When she finally saw her old mother, Bai cried like a little girl... All her families and relatives came to witness the touching family reunion.
