| A carcass of a male Asian elephant without tusks was found on Oct. 16 in the forest in Mengla area, southwest China's Yunnan province. The body was already decomposed, and the tusks had been removed. It was shot by a standard firearm. A task force has been formed by the Forest Public Security Bureau to investigate the case.
