Li Jingming is the only teacher in Lixin Village, a small countryside in Shanxi Province. Li came to this village in 2012, she teaches math, Chinese, music, etc. and is also responsible for picking up students and sending them home after school. She is the principal, the doorkeeper, and the cleaning lady in this school. Before she came to Lixin Village, Li had taught in seven other elementary schools in mountain villages since 1979. In the past 35 years, over 600 of her students have gone to cities to work; some of them were admitted to universities. "As long as there is still one student in the village, I will keep on teaching," said Li.
