China will firmly promote the comprehensive strategic cooperation with Laos and maintain exchanges between senior officials of the two countries, Li said at a meeting with visiting Lao President Choummaly Sayasone.
Choummaly, together with leaders of Bangladesh, Cambodia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan and Tajikistan, attended a dialogue meeting on strengthening connectivity and improving cooperation on Saturday in Beijing, at which Chinese President Xi Jinping announced China will contribute 40 billion U.S. dollars to set up a Silk Road Fund.

Laos is willing to improve cooperation and exchanges with China in all aspects and at all levels, he said.
