A network media marketing activity "2014 foreign media visiting Jiangxi", which aims to promote the province’s tourism in overseas market, kicked off Friday afternoon in Nanchang, capital city of Jiangxi province. More than 40 reporters from foreign-language media in China will visit Jiangxi province until Nov. 20. Yao Yaping, head of the Publicity Department of Jiangxi province presented a flag to the participants at the opening ceremony.

The event is cosponsored by the Publicity Department of the provincial Party Committee, Jiangxi provincial Commission of Tourism Development and People's Daily Online.

Starting from Nanchang, the reporters will embark on a journey which will cover most of the province’s main tourist attractions, including Wuyuan, known as China’s most beautiful village, UNESCO world heritage listed Mount Sanqingshan and Jingdezhen, where China’s best porcelains are manufactured.

Yao said that Jiangxi has a unique culture and history, and that is why it has a modern unique look. Jiangxi province attaches great importance to this event.

Zhu Hong, vice-governor of Jiangxi province, said that Jiangxi is a magical and beautiful place. He sincerely hoped that the beautiful natural scenery and unique cultural customs of Jiangxi could be known to the world through this event, and more and more people could understand Jiangxi better and love it more.
