Hundreds of Palestinians participated in the funeral of 16-year-old Mohammed Abu Khudir, a Palestinian teenager whose body was found in Jerusalem forest on July 2, in Shuafat on Friday. Massive riots in Jerusalem continued on the third day as Palestinian demonstrators hurled rocks at Israeli policemen who responded with tear gas and rubber bullets. Three light rail stations were destroyed by the demonstrators and several entries to Arab communities in east Jerusalem were sealed off by Israeli police. Israeli media believed that the Palestinian teenager was killed by far-right Israelis in retribution for the recent deaths of three Jewish teens kidnapped by militants in the West Bank.
