Li Zijun is an 18-year-old national figure skater who has won 8 national championships. She was born to an ordinary family in 1996. When she was a child, she was fascinated by skating and told her mother she wanted to learn it.

5-year-old Li Zijun showed her flair for skating when she began to learn it as she seldom fell on the ice. At the age of 6, Zijun won the championship of Jilin Figure Skating “Hope Cup” contest. In 2008, Li Zijun was selected into the national team and later went to the U.S. for one-year training. Li Zijung has done very well in contests after she came back to China from the training, winning contests held at home and abroad. Like her peers, Li Zijun also likes pets, music and films. She said she likes skating very much and will work harder to be a better skater.
