The serious risk of an epidemic given this Ebola outbreak a high international profile. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has visited Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone, the nations hardest hit by Ebola. Medical teams have been sent from the United Nations, China, the US, Cuba, and several other countries to help those countries to overcome the epidemic situation.
