Liang Rui, 27, currently operates a photography studio after he graduated from Chongqing University of Post and Telecommunications. One day, a classical Michael Jackson’s dance move suddenly came into his mind when he posed for a photo. As a big fan of Jackson, he posted the photo on social media. He said that he did not expect the photo to draw a lot of attentions in his circle of friends. In the following six years, Liang took more than 100 photos with the same gesture in different scenic spots. He rode bike with his friends to Lhasa on June 27, 2011. On the way, he even took a photo on the top of Yela Mountain at the risk of landslide and falling off the cliff.
One third of those photos were taken by Liang’s family members or friends. The rest were taken by strangers. If there were too many tourists at the scenic spot, he would like to wait for one or two hours until the background is clear.
Of those photos, Liang likes the one taken in Liberal Plaza, Taiwan in 2013, the best.
