
Huzhong, located in Daxinganling in northeast China's Heilongjiang province, is regarded as the coldest town in China. Covering an area of 960,000 hectares, the annual average temperature in Huzhong is minus 4.3 degrees Celsius. Every year, the town can see temperatures lower than minus 40 degrees Celsius for more than 30 days.
