
WUHAN, Jan. 24-- One people was killed and seven other injured in a knife attack in central China's Hubei Province on Saturday, local police said.
Police in Wuhan, capital of Hubei, received the report of the knife attack on a street in the city's Jianghan district at about 9:40 a.m.
Police soon arrived at the site and detained a 38-year-old man and then rushed eight injured to hospital.
One injured died later after medical treatment failed and seven are still under emergency treatment.
An investigation into the attack is under way.
