Ding said that macro-control policy from the government is vital for the stable development of economy now, and the proposal for macro-control policy made by Premier Li could be a start for other countries taking measures to regulate their economic policies as well.
Ding said he had been particularly struck by Premier Li's statement that "We need to act in accordance with the trends of the times, firmly advance free trade, resolutely reject protectionism, and actively expand regional economic cooperation. We need to build global value chains, and seize the opportunity for a new technological revolution."
