
GUANGZHOU, Jan. 30 -- A senior police official and a former general manager of a state-owned company have been stripped of party membership for "seriously violating party disciplines" in south China's Guangdong Province.
Cai Guangliao, vice director of the general office of Guangdong provincial party committee and vice party secretary of Guangdong public security department, and Zhong Jinsong, former general manager and vice party secretary of Guangdong Rising Assets Management Co., Ltd were both expelled.
Both Cai and Zhong used their positions to seek benefits for others and received bribes, the Guangdong commission for discipline inspection said in a statement.
Their cases are being handled by the judiciary, it said.
