
Members of a Japanese non-governmental organization Murayama Statement Association visited Nanjing Massacre Victims Memorial Hall on March 11, 2015. Many of them felt shocked after the tour, and suggested that people who deny the Nanjing Massacre should come to the Memorial Hall.
Murayama Statement was released by then Prime Minister of Japan Tomiichi Murayama on August 15, 1995. In it, he apologized for the damage and suffering caused by Japan to its Asian neighbors. Murayama Statement Association was established by many scholars, journalists, and citizens in November 2013 when they witnessed some of the political statements made by Abe's cabinet endangered peace development.
